Born in 2003, Christian Schaible is an artist, student, and designer based in the Hudson Valley. He is
currently pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design with a minor in Visual Arts at SUNY New Paltz. His practice is
often driven by a concept-first approach - emphasizing exploration and experimentation as essential tools
for discovery. Whether working with digital media, photography, painting, drawing, print, or
interdisciplinary design - he deeply navigates the intersections of visual communication, materiality, and
meaning. Through an expansive and iterative process, Schaible seeks to emphasize beauty in order to
challenge conventions, question systems, and create work that invites engagement, reflection, and dialogue.
At its core, Schaible’s practice is a process of questioning: How do we navigate and resist systems so
deeply ingrained in our existence? Can we reshape them without falling into further disarray? His work does
not offer definitive answers but instead seeks to create space for reflection, discussion, and critical
engagement.
